Craig Coulthard – Literature and Fun Places
Craig Coulthard presents Literature and Fun Places, a solo exhibition of paintings that could appear to be relics, but feature contemporary and anachronistic elements placed in dialogue with one another. Some of the influences and interests include:
– imagined conversations – a collision of imagery from across time and space – Japanese woodcuts, Pictish stones, cars, landscapes – fragments of history, rearranged – moments that don’t make sense – symbols and eras colliding – cropping and restaging of imagery – echoes of the past in new formations – timelines bending, breaking, folding – artefacts out of place

Candice Dehnavi presents Just Another Screaming Speck of Dust, a solo exhibition featuring a new sculptural installation. The work includes oversized forms stretching out from the ground, coupled with bronze cast symbols. The work explores some of the following:
– mythology and astrology – dreamlike imagery – absurd world-building – storytelling across cultures – Iranian and English upbringing – cultural familiarity and estrangement – playing with scale – artefacts from unknown stories – alien forms emerging – old Persian zodiac symbols – djinns and spirits – visual poetry – tales passed down through generations

Errol Theunissen – Still Warm From the Sun
Errol Theunissen presents Still Warm From the Sun, a solo exhibition of paintings which capture the intense colours and emotional truths of everyday life. Amongst other things, he is interested in:
– vivid colour – dust, cloth, fur, sky – the colours of Africa – the trust between a person and their dog – primal bonds – purity, honesty, innocence – symbols and moments – the importance of home – the shared innocence of child and animal – resisting the complications of society – capturing and processing
